MARCH 1, 2003
Hello all, finally March...only about 3 more weeks until spring! Can't
wait for warm weather. Well, besides the weather things are looking
good, the cds should be in by the end of March. Until then we are gonna
start booking as many shows as possible, hopefully start playing out at LEAST
once a week. We are finally back in the creative mode, after taking a
break for a few months. We jammed for the first time in a while last Wednesday,
overall it was very successful. New material is always such an awesome feeling, especially
now...it has finally began to come easy for us. We only get to practice 1
day a week (Wednesday night) due to busy schedules (work, school, etc), but for the
most part we make the most out of it. Well, enough rambling...WE FINALLY
HAVE 2 NEW SONGS UP ON MP3.COM, so make sure you go check them out. Our main man...
James Poirier has been working his butt off for us...he is almost done
with MindShift's new website. The site should be up in a few weeks, MindShift's
new web address is www.mindshiftband.com (right now it is parked at go-daddy.com).
I know i am a little late on this, but...OUR PRAYERS ARE FOR THE VICTIMS
AND THE FAMILIES THEY LEFT BEHIND. It is a horrible tragedy that has
affected many people in our area, and being in a band that has played the station...i cannot
even imagine the terror that went through the club that night. It is a very scary tragedy, something that never
should of happenned. I hope nightclubs and live venues take the necessary
caution, and brainless bands no longer put their fans at risk, so something this
terrible will NEVER happen again. Peace, MindShift.
FEBRUARY 1, 2003
Long time, no info...MindShift is done in the studio, we are just
waiting for the master copy. We are really happy with how it came
together, it sounds incredible. We give much respect to Scott Rancourt
from Dream Edit in Newport, RI for helping us create such an awesome
album. Our really good friend James Poirier has designed outstanding
artwork for our cd, the kid is amazing. We are getting 1000 cds
professionally done (shrink-wrapped, bar coded, etc). Yeah 1000 is a
hell of a lot of cds, but it was only a couple of hundred extra bucks
for 1000 rather than 500, so it was a no-brainer. They should be in my
mid-march, we are planning a cd release show the end of March at the
Met Cafe. The cd title is "Coldest of Introductions" and the track
list is as follows:
1. COLDEST OF INTRODUCTIONS (INTRO)
2. A PAST FORGOTTON
3. FOREVERYTHING
4. NEW LIFE
5. MAYBE SOMEDAY
6. BEST KEPT WINTER
7. YOUTH LOVE TRAGEDY
8. LAST CONNECTION
9. FEELS LIKE AN ENDING
We will be getting a real website up with a few mp3's of our new songs
by early March. Until then catch us at some shows and support local
music. Peace-MindShift
